Well, Caleb John Allen was a wonderful one yesterday… We didn’t really do much, but we have a great party planned for Saturday (pictures of that to follow). Tomorrow we’re going to McDonalds with a whole load of Caleb’s friends and their parents.
Yesterday we went to Nancy and Gloria’s house for a meal and to say hi, haven’t seen them for a while and the get together was great.

Happy Birthday Caleb! I hope you had a fun first year. Course you did. Life has to be fun when you get to burp, gurgle and have your nappy (that’s what diapers are really called) changed in public. But don’t worry about getting older. You share your birthday with your Auntie Katie - she doesn’t get to do those things anymore but she still enjoys herself. Maybe this time next week you’ll have a cousin!

Caleb you have grown and learned so much this past year. It is amazing how much you know. I am so very proud of how well your mommy and daddy take care of you. I love you dear sweet little man.

Happy Birthday Caleb,
Hard to whack McDonalds for a good birthday party! I wish I had a quarter pounder right now. Hope to see you soon. I’f I don’t, please remember to send money back home to Ireland when you grow up and start work!
Miss you very much.

Hey Caleb,
Listen don’t worry about this getting older thing. Ok, so in the next year you will double in age, but you can’t keep that pace up. If you did by the time you turned seven you’d be 64!
Happy birthday!
